Kashmiri Dum Aloo (Potatoes)

potatoes cardamoms
yogurt cloves
coriander
cumin
ginger
ground red pepper
salt
turmeric

Directions

  1. Fry potatoes until brown. Put aside.
  2. Heat oil.
  3. Add cayenne pepper, turmeric, then add half-cup water immediately.
  4. Separately, mix yogurt w/ salt, 2 cloves, ginger, 5-6 cardamoms, cumin, coriander.
  5. Pour yogurt mixture in.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes (don't let it separate).
  7. Add potatoes.
